Putting ANOTHER Ring On It

Okay, here is the deal. This is my Engagement ring:

(One of my favorite engagement photos, my future hubby is so handsome.
Plus it's a good side view of the ring)

(Closer view)

I have been trying to convince T that I need a wedding band. And by need I mean want. The only issue is that my band on it's own is already wide and all twisty, making it hard for a normal band to sit up against it (or inside all the curves). (True story, everyone in T's family thinks I do not need a band but Grandpa White said "A band with diamonds all around would look perfect". I love him!) I have found a few I really like and that look good with the ring or on their own (and are quite a bargain). Now I have some convincing to do! Wish me luck!

I LOVE My Brita Filter

I LOVEEEE me some linkups. So when I saw Brittany at Mrs. Yellow Ribbon has a linky-loo show and tell on her page, I jumped on that like kids on pinata candy.

ANYWAY, this week we have to share something we cannot live without. I know this is going to make me sound like an old lady BUT I cannot live without my Brita Filter.

I LOVE water. T drinks tons of juice (seriously, he goes through about 6 gallons a week of juice, T's food intake in general is amazing and disgusting at the same time) but when I want something to quench my thirst it is water I crave. And I cannot drink just from the tap (in California our water is EXTREMELY hard and nasty) so  I would drink lots of bottled water, but that's super expensive AND terrible for the environment. This pretty little thing was a perfect solution to the problem and I am not sure how I lived without it before.

Sicky

I am currently at home, snuggling in my bed trying to shake whatever sickness I have. I hate being sick (who doesn't).

The End.

Obviously, I Hate the MidWest

So Erin at Amateur Hour in NC did this fun mapy thing of all the places in the States she has been (do your own map too! I am curious to see where people have been. Click here). I figured this would be fun I became a little copy cat and did it too! The first thing when I thought when I saw the map was

"Wow, I must hate the mid-west"

Maybe it is time to make some roadtripy plans to explore Americas Heartland. Anyone know of any fun places to visit in the states I have not been??

Cable TV and Remember It's Friday!

Okay, first of all I do NOT know this girl, I just took a picture of the TV at a VERY awkward time. Why did I take a photo of my TV? Because we got cable AND internet today!!  We have seriously been living in the stone ages without either of the two (that is why I have been blogging so erratically). So T and I are now sitting in bed watching Fashion Police (I LOVEEE Joan Rivers even though she looks terrifying) enjoying our first night of TV =].

P.S, Just in case you forgot:

Yesterday was Thursday
Today is Friday, Friday
We so excited
We gonna have a ball today

~Rebecca Black (thanks Becca, I totally didn't know that Thursday comes before Friday and last time I checked "we so excited" is NOT proper English)

I get a laugh at how AMAZINGLY stupid this song is. Yet my coworker and I sing it all the time, especially on Fridays.

PISSED

Urgh. I woke up today is the worst mood! It has pretty much ruined my day off (I am determined to make it better, so we will see where it goes). T has basically told me that he would be ignoring me all day to hang out with his buddies (he didn't quite say it like that but that is what I got from the convo) just like he did last night.

His best friend is going into training for a month and 2 more of his friends are deploying in two weeks, and I completely understand that but I don't appreciate being ignored. Especially when I have nobody to hang out with down here.

Bleh,I guess I will wedding plan on my own.

Sex Toys

You heard me. SEX TOYS. Us military wives, fiances, girlfriends all have an arsenal of fun thing to keep us occupied while our men are away. Or even fun things to celebrate their return. This doesn't even have to be toys per se. It is anything from massage lotions, to outfits, to fun gag gifts.

(It's about to get personal beware!!) I personally do not have any TOYS but I do have a slew of cute (cough.. SKANKYY... cough) outfits tucked away in my closet.

Okay, so why the HECK am I inadvertently talking about my sex life?

GET READY FOR IT

T and I have started our own business. Delainey's Delights (that's right it's named after me!) selling Adult Pleasures on-line. We want to satisfy your sweet tooth AND bring some spice into your life!

I think what is really exciting about this business venture is the fact that it is home grown (just us, working together and keeping it in the family) and although we are still getting things off the ground we strive to make every one of our customers happy.

So enough pimping out our business. Check it out if you are interested and if you now think I am a total creep (especially to my new followers) that's okay too =].

Ramblings

Here I am, blogging on my lunch break again. Sadly, my wonderful 5 day weekend has come to an end (it's spring break on the campus I work at) and I am back at work. Luckily time is flying by because there is so much to catch up on and work on. I have been thinking a ton about my days off and I REALLY enjoyed it. (Well, what is there not to enjoy about days off?)

But is all seriousness, I felt much more productive staying at home. Yes, bringing in income is productive, and I do LOVE what I do but working full-time, going to school full-time and being a wifey (acting like one for now) is a ton of work.

Anyhow, enough of my self-pity. My days off were AMAZING. I got my house together, attempted to get my taxes done (if the line wasn't 3 hours long both times I went I would have been successful), was able to finish applying for scholarships and did a lot of wedding planning (including bridesmaids dress shopping!). I have this Friday off too and T requested Special Lib (hopefully it's approved) so it's going to be short week and a good weekend!

How is everyone's week going? I hope it's great!

What's YOUR Song Linkup

The lovely Amber at Goodnight Moon is hosting such a fun "What's YOUR Song" linkup. I haven't done a linkup in a while so I am excited about this one!

I am absolutely OBSESSED with this song. My BFFFE (best friend for freaking ever) Courtney played it for me one day and I was hooked. I love it so much that this is the song I will be walking down the aisle to. My friend Justin is going to play it on the Guitar while my sister-in-law Hillary (whose voice is hands down the most beautiful I have ever heard) sings the lyrics. (Hopefully it all works out!)

Listen, I guarantee you wont be able to get it out of your head!

Wedding Invitations

Here I am again, on my lunch break blogging! I just wanted to share a little more wedding news. I decided a while back that was going to make my own invitations. After fiddling around with different styles T and I decided we really like the idea of using our engagement photos as our invitations. So here's one I have been fiddling around with (sheesh, I do a lot of fiddling!). I need to figure out how to put full text on the back with times, maps and things like that (almost like a post card)

Sorry it doesn't quite fit on the page right,
I had to make it bigger so you could REALLY see it.

This is just one I have been messing around with. I have a few more that aren't quite finished, I just wanted to know your opinion! (keep in mind more wedding info will be on the back of this)

Thanks Ladies!

I Am Pretty Sure My Sociology Paper Has Turned Into One Big Blog

So my lunch break is just about over and I have spent most of it writing my Sociology paper and another part of it catching up on commenting on everyone's blogs. I am pretty amazed and rather annoyed that while writing this paper I have to try may hardest NOT to write in blog form (with my random italicized interjections and my words in all CAPS and bolded for emphasis) but I can't!

Why can't everything I do for my coursework be just one big blog? I would knock everything out so fast!

Oh snap, lunch is over! Happy Monday all!

Weekend Update

This week has been super crazy. TJ was gone in the field and I was forced to sleep in our big freaking bed alone. I went up to my parents for 2 days, so it was much less lonely and we were able to do A LOT of wedding planning. Plus it was super nice to hang with my Sissy and Mommy, oh and let's not forget KB. I didn't see my Dad much because he works nights (boo, I could never do that!). I also got to hang with my BFFFE (best friend for freaking ever) Courtney. I think it might be time for a high school pic:

Eeek we were so young! I think we were Juniors in HS
And I know what you are thinking, and yes, we ARE on a boat =]
A sailboat, but a boat nonetheless.

Courtney goes to school in Idaho so I am without her for most of the year, but now is her off track so shes back in the hometown! We have so much fun together and we definitely have some great tandem bike & creeper van stories (more on that another time). Anyhow, Courtney came over Thursday night and T was able to come home too! So we had a little sleepover. I am so thankful T lets me still have sleepovers!

On Friday I worked my normal half day (more like a 3/4 day) and I got word that they were sending T BACK to the field. It pretty much ruined my day but after a ton of back and fourth between Senior Chiefs and Lt. Colonels T had to go but was sent back home to be on standby status. Luckily he was not called in and we were able to have a nice weekend at home (well most of which was spent at the neighbors).

Now since I slacked most of this week I have my wedding invites, scholarship apps and a big freaking paper to finish writing. We will see how this all goes. Let's hope I can keep my sanity.

(OMG I am watching Dog Bounty Hunter as I blog and an I amazed at how White Trash these people are. Like whats with the mullett Dog? And Big Titts, would it kill you to wear more clothes? A miniskirt and a American Flag tank top that your titties don't fit in is not appropriate. Not to mention a disgrace to the American Flag.)

Hope you all have a wonderful week. I promise I will blog about some exciting stuff soon =]
