What The Crap Is With The Rain?

I am so excited this semester is over! Now I have one more day of work then I am on vacation for the next 3 weeks.
I am extremely tired and not exactly sure why I am still awake. I had planned on doing some of my wedding book or creating my wedding website or search for creative invites. But none of that happened.

Instead I am going to talk about the freaking MONSOONS we have been having.

It has been raining non stop for the past 3 days. AND because of the rain we were not able to take our engagements this weekend. It's been flooding, windy, and COLDDD.  I HATE IT!

On the bright side it has been excellent cuddle weather AND very few times a year I get to wear these!

RAIN BOOTS!!

Okay, I can barely keep my eyes open and now, come to think of it,
I am not sure what the point of this post is.

Things That Make Me Smile

My AMAZING friend Justin sometimes stops into my office (well, we both work in the same office but he works just a few hours a week... anyway before my interjection gets too lengthy) and today he decided he was going to make me the coolest gift ever
that I could keep at my Desk!

A little Paper Clip Family!! Obviously they are awesome because the Mom is a Hula Dancer, the Dad is a Superhero and the Baby plays a freaking Ukulele.

These are the little things that make me smile.

P.S Justin writes a very comical blog, pee in your pants comical, (seriously, everything he does makes me pee in my pants it's so funny. Did I just embarrass myself?)
ANYWAY... if you are a fan of satire you will love it!
If your not a fan of satire you may find it mildly offensive......  BUT YOU WILL STILL LOVE IT!

My Weekends are NEVER this Productive!

Thank you for all your wonderful input, it put an end to my flower debacle. We will be using silk across the board. I am very excited to do some creative things on a budget and with more time.

This weekend was SUPER productive. We watched the Lebron game, ate some of this heart attack in a box (but it is oh soooo good!)

Then we did a lot of this
(1,000 piece puzzle... this is the second one we did this weekend... Nerds I know!)

On Saturday we looked at APARTMENTS!! Most of which were in the ghetto. Seriously, before you think I am being high maintenance these places had "security" bars on the front doors. The only places you see bars on any type of  structural opening are the places with high crime. With T scheduled for a few week/month long trainings and a deployment in the imminent future we'd both feel more comfortable in a safer area. Doesn't matter how much it costs.

Which brings me to more exciting news! We found the one! It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and in a nice area of Oceanside. Close to base for T, close the highway for me (good for my 45 minute commute to work, ew, but it is well worth it) ANDDDD I will be only 5 minutes away from my wonderful (and most favorite) coworker! PLUS we will have a washer, dryer and AC... apparently these are luxuries in Oceanside.

We are both extremely excited. We're just waiting for all T's BAH stuff to go though then we will be signing a lease!

Lastly, Sunday we took a second tour of a venue (well my second tour, T's first) and we are in the process of BOOKING IT!! AHHH! Since we have that all in line I have had the chance to look for photographers and I have found some amazing ones that I will be meeting with this week.

What a wonderful weekend! I didn't study any, and I totally should have but if I did I would not have been able to get all this amazing stuff done!

Wedding MADNESS!

I am blogging more than once in a week! Aren't you proud?

Well, we are really starting to throw this wedding planning into full gear (and by we I don't mean me and T, I mean me and my sister Ashley. T is normally like, "Sounds good to me". I know he means the best, but a little input would be nice. ANYHOW...)

So, since we decided NOT to spend tons of money on our wedding, our special day is going to be a DIY ADVENTURE! Apart of that DIY madness we will be flower arranging.

To practice my sister and I went our and bought a bunch of silk flowers and made some bouquets.

My sister is AMAZING! She really worked her magic and it makes me super excited to arrange the flowers our selves, although it is going to be tons of work.

Which brings me to my next point, should we buy fresh or silk flowers for the wedding? I really need your opinion. The upside with the silk flowers is that we would have more time to make the arrangements, where as with the fresh flowers we would have to make the arrangements all a day before. Also, with the silk we won't have to refrigerate them.

P.S If we did do silk flowers we would still do the bouquets and boutonnieres in fresh flowers, just the table centerpieces would be silk.

Your opinions? I NEEEEED THEM!

KISSES!
