What Don't You Know About Me Already?

Justin tells me that I inspired him to become an ultra blogger BUT he was disappointed in me because I virtually stopped blogging. According to him I am about 284 blogs behind. So here I am blogging again to appease him!

Well the lovely Jeanna at The Longer the Wait, the Sweeter the Kiss (a fellow 20 year old, planning her wedding) was kind enough to give me an award! I was given this award in the past but would be fun to write 7 MORE things about myself (as if I don't talk about myself enough!)

1. T starts his first official college course tomorrow, and were taking it together! Astronomy. The fact that he is thinking about life after the Military and that he is getting a jump start on his schooling makes me VERY excited. Plus, it will be nice to have a live-in study buddy!

2. Call me selfish but I (and T) don't want children for a while (3-4 years or so?). Although I love children and would love to have TONS of them (5 or 6) I want to enjoy my young years, and enjoy life with my husband (wow, first time typing that... surreal) before bringing kids into the picture. Our children will be around for the rest of our lives, so why rush it right?

3. When I was younger I ALWAYS wanted a pet (like a puppy or something) but all I got was a hamster. Now what I am older, I really don't like the thought of having a pet. And I secretly wish (oops, now the secretes out) that all the energy that is spent on animal rights is redirected towards human rights. Then the World will be on a path to find an end to all the suffering.


4. I am nervous to leave my hometown and move to Oceanside (although I am SUPERRR excited to move in with T). Granted, it's only 45 minutes away from my hometown, it is still a different city and county. I think what I will miss the most though is living 5 minutes away from my job.

5. I tell myself I will go to bed early every night but I NEVER do! I go to sleep right around 12am and wake up at 6:30am all tired and grumpy. Maybe I should get off blogspot and get my butt to bed... hmmmm

6. I am getting married in 163 days!

7. I really want to learn a skill with my hands.So I want to learn how to sew. I was enrolled in a sewing class for this semester but I ended up dropping it to free up some time in my busy schedule. I may take it next fall OR I may just teach myself!

Men in Diapers AND an Award!

Why am I not in bed? Well to blog of course! This will probably lead to me skipping spinning for the 9th morning in a row.... (don't judge! 6am is EARLY!)

Anyhow. I have a ton to blog about. First off, this weekend was not exactly the most productive (ie, no wedding planning, homework doing, room cleaning or packing took place BUT I did study, yay me) but it was still pretty fun. On Friday I helped TJ and his buddies move stuff into their new apartment, we played scrabble and I cooked dinner and by cooked I mean bought a Stoffers lasagna and put it in the oven.

(On a side note it is looking like T is not going to pick up rank this month... booo...we just found out yesterday only 23% picked up so its looking like guys who have been HN's  for 3 years are ranking up... ie, not T... which means no place for us in December, unless a miracle happens)

OKAY! Back on track. Friday night we all kind of fell asleep in random places around the house then Saturday I woke up EARLYYYY to take a test in Stats, which I am positive I aced. Then Billy, KC, and T picked me up so we can go to the Oakley family and friends sale which we actually didn't go until Sunday but I'll spare the deets, they are not that interesting. Saturday night was one of T's roommates birthday's so everyone bought a cake, Spongebob pinata, and diapers

What were the diapers for? Well, watch at your own risk.

Mark ended up locking himself into his room and jumping out of his window to avoid the diaper madness. He was actually pretty pissed and didn't return until an hour later. We all thought it was funny though and that's all that matters.

Then today we actually went to the Oakley sale, spent too much money, then we sat around and watched the Harry Potter movies, which I have never seen. They are quite interesting.

Now for the second order of business. I won another award! I have been really bad about reposing them so I am going to get back on track! The lovely Brea at Utterly Chaotic  left me this beauty:

Now let me share a little about me =]

1. Wedding Planning is starting to get on my nerves. I know I should love every minute of it but it is too stressful.

2. I am SUPER excited for Thanksgiving! It is my favorite holiday EVER. AND my family will be meeting ALL of T's  family in St. George.

3. I stopped drinking Coffee and Tea so T would stop playing video games around me and drinking Mountain Dew. So far, he has broken our bet, but I have held up my end of the bargain.

5. When I don't get my way I get extremely upset, like how a toddler gets upset. BUT I NEVER ask for anything so on the extraordinary occasion that I do ask for something, it would be nice if it actually happened.

6. I like watching movies or TV with the light on.

7. T and I are debating whether we should buy a new F150 or a new Explorer after the wedding. I REALLLLLY want the Explorer but either way I am driving the new car =].

Getting to Know You! (And By You, I Mean Me)

I have been blogging a lot lately (Erin are you happy and entertained? This is all for you! <3). So I have been tagged in in two "Getting to Know You" questionnaires by two lovely ladies at Living the Life and Sailor's Sweetheart. Since their questions are different I shall answer a little bit of both.



(Just in case you haven't seen the numerous pictures of me on my  blog. There I am to the right, and yes I dress like that all the time *wink*)



1. What is one piece of advice you've been given, mantra, etc. that you live by?
"Be faithful unto death and I shall give you the crown of life." ~Revelation 2:10

2. Are you more of a neat freak, anything BUT a neat freak or somewhere in between?
I am not necessarily the neatest or most organized  person ever but I HAVE to keep everything clean ALL THE TIME. I am very afraid of getting a parasite through my hands from all the things I touch in a day. I also need things to stay where I put them. If someone moves something of mine I freak out. I also hate people using my things without asking. It makes me anxious and upset. I am supper possessive (or crazy, whatever you'd like to call it) like that.

3.  What is your idea of a perfect day?
Well I would sleep in until noon or 1pm (hopefully it'll be rainy and cold outside. These are the only days I enjoy crappy weather.). I'll make myself some hot chocolate and some breakfast, flip on the fireplace (yes, my fireplace can be flipped on like a light) and read a good book or magazine OR watch Turner Classic Movies while cuddling with T.

4.  What is one place in the world you have always wanted to visit and why?
Greece! One day T and I will be able to go. It is so beautiful, serene and full of history. AND I LOVEEE  Greek food so it would be amazing to experience authentic Greek tastiness on my tastebuds. 

5.  If you could tell one person who is no longer in your life something, what would it be?
"Grandpa Alfonzo, even though I never met you I always have, and always will love you."

6. Are you someone who wants a great big family or a small family?
Well, I want right around 8 kids myself. I think having only one sibling conditioned me to want a large family. I have to convince T a little on this one.

7. What do you think is the most important thing in a relationship?
Understanding. I think it is most important to be able to sympathize with your partner to truly understand whatever situation they are in and how they see it from their point of view. This way it is easier to talk situations out and compromise all while being tactful and without hurting any one's feelings.


8. What is your favorite childhood memory?
When I was young my dad worked nights and my mom worked days. So during the day my dad took care of my sister and I. It was one summer I think where my dad signed me up for "Mommy and Me" swimming classes to teach me how to swim. On the first class my dad got in the pool with and swam around holding me. A mother went up to him and said "You know this is a Mommy and Me class right?" and he said "Yes" and kept swimming with me. I love my dad!

(I know, that is kind of a cop out but I really do like this list of questions and I am far too tired to think of some new ones)

Tampons, Temecula and Some More Bloggy Love!

 I am obsessed with the new Kotex U commercials, Here, and my personal favie Here. (I would embed them but I can't seem to re-size them accordingly)

These adds are exactly what I was thinking! Why are Tampon adds so obnoxious? I am already forced to buy these things anyway so lay off the dancing, partying and tennis playing in white skirts. It is completely unnecessary, mildly offensive and one hundred percent ridiculous. I must say, whoever is working in advertising at Kotex, good job, because these commercials make me want to purchase Kotex U, just because they call out the other feminine care companies on their B.S


Enough about tampons, and onto our weekend. This weekend was nice and relaxing. TJ and I were planning on just relaxing in Oceanside when hotel after hotel was booked. EVERYTHING from Oceanside, San Diego and even Fallbrook was booked up. Apparently, Comic Con is a big deal and people come from far and wide to go to this convention, and book up all the hotels in a 70 mile radius. So we were pushed into Temecula for our relaxing weekend, which ended up being an excellent choice. We stayed right outside of this lovely place:

Beautiful Old Town Temecula. I love me any old town of any kind. They have so much character, and are so vibrant. They also had the cutest Farmers Market that we explored on Saturday. Being in Temecula further solidified the though I've been having of moving away. I want to move away. I feel like I would be so much happier in a new town, possibly in a new state. TJ says it's because I am ready to move on in my life, and I really think that is it. Unfortunately it is not that easy. Why move away when I would have to move back in a year anyhow? I guess one can dream.

On a lighter note Kelsey at Far from the Safe Harbor has given me an award! It makes me happy to know she was thinking about me when she received the "One Lovely Blog" award, and she was nice enough to pass it on. So I suppose I shall conjure up some facts about me that you don't know already:

One: I take hour long showers because it is the only part of my day where I have complete solitude.

Two: Last night TJ woke up because I was sleeping an odd way. As he peered at me to see how I was sleeping I simultaneously rolled over, opened my eyes and screamed because I thought he had been staring at me all night like a zombie. My screaming scared him so much he pulled the covers over his head to hide. It was quite a bizarre moment, but makes a funny story a day later.

Three: I HATE wearing closed toed shoes, especially sneakers. I feel like a big foot clown and can hardly walk in them. I like my toes free to wiggle around and feel the air.

Four: On Friday I think God saved my life. I was stopped at the intersection, the first car in the far left lane, waiting for the light to turn green. As I waited at the red light I went looking for something in my glove box, when I looked up again my light had turned green but something told me to put the papers back in my glove box before I go. As I take the second to close my glove box a black car comes flying through the intersection and collides with a Cox Communications truck. Both cars fly off each other, and the black car flies into the stopped traffic. Both cars were smashed into unrecognizable parts. If I hadn't taken the extra seconds to close my glove box, I would have been smashed and mangled into pieces. Someone was looking out for me.

That is all I can think about that I haven't stated in previous bloggy love posts. And as I see that many of you lovely ladies have received this award already I shall give this to anyone who has not yet received this fantastic award!

Oh and before I forget! TJ picked up an "Early Promote" on his evaluation Friday. He was all worried about it, but as always it turned out great. I am so very proud of him!

I'm Feeling the Love!

First things first, I have a new button! The wonderful Mrs. Gambizzle at Life as a Sailor's Girl made it for me. In fact, shes making them for everyone! So if you would like a new button, head over to her, shes amazing.

Now I just have to figure out how to put it up on my page, and grab everyone elses buttons too!

Secondly, I changed my blog title. I think it gives a good incite on what my blog is about. Seeing that most of it is about my life, I find it is very fitting!

And third, I received TWO awards!! Thanks to my girl Marissa at IT'S A SEMPER FI KINDA LOVE.

And thanks to my other lovely girl Brittney at A Day In The Life Of A Navy Wife.

So since they both have the same rules I shall kill two birds with one stone. I have to tell 10 things about myself then pass them on, so here it goes!

1. I am a nonstop snacker. I LOVE food and have to be eating at all times. I foresee this being a bad habit in the future.

2. TJ's homecoming is one of my fondest memories. Nothing was better than falling in love all over again (and getting used to each other all over again) when he returned. There was something very special about those moments.

3. I hate spending money on my self, and rarely ever do. When I do spend money on myself it is on necessities, and activities (like Disneyland!), but never on clothes, shoes, electronics etc. I foresee that being a good habit in the future.

4. I am an Aunt to a one year old beautiful bugger! His name is Kaleb and he is perfect. I am not biased or anything, it is a solidified fact.

5. I have an obsession with bellybuttons and I love the fact that TJ's green skivvies leave lint in his bellybutton so I can pick it out. Weird? Yeah. He hates it but lets me do it, because that is true love.

6. Morning is my most hated part of the day. If I could, I would never see another day before 11am ever again. But sadly, to be a functioning member of society, I must wake up early.

7. My mom makes the BEST potato salad. If I ever found a potato salad contest I will enter her in it and she would own the whole thing. Her potato salad is that good! (I am eating it right now on my lunch break!)

8. I am mortified to turn 20. Although adulthood doesn't scare me, being labeled as an adult does.

9. My goal for this Fall is to complete at least 5 books. I want to get back into reading even though it is not my favorite thing to do.

10. Lately, I have been having baby fever. I cannot wait to have children, lots of children! I made a comment at Disneyland about getting into line before the stroller brigade and TJ said, well one day we will be the stroller brigade. That put a smile on my face.

More Bloggy Love!

Thanks to my girl Staci at Random Ramblings of a Military Wife I  have received another Blogger Award! The Versatile Blogger Award to be exact!

So as the rules go, I must divulge 7 facts about me and pass this lovely award on. So let's begin!

1. I have a weird phobia of peanut butter. I am almost certain if I eat it, it will kill me (which, theoretically, any food I eat COULD in fact kill me. There is always a chance that I will choke to death on tomatoes [my favorite food]. Then how ironic would that be?), therefore I will NEVER eat it or anything containing the vile, woman killing, substance.

2. I am a Seventh Day Adventist. Most ask, "What the heck is that?!". Well, the main difference between the SDA church and any other Christian denomination is the fact that our day(s) of rest and worship is from Friday at sundown to Saturday at sundown. The reason for this is because the Romans changed the calendar from Sunday-Saturday to Monday-Sunday. If Romans did not change the calendar the Sabbath (the 7th day, when God rested) would be a Saturday. Hence, the Saturday worship. We also emphasize good health and overall wellness so promote this by our many medical schools and hospitals across the country, most notably Loma Linda University. Fun Fact: John Kellogg, founder of the Kellogg brand (and yes Corn Flakes) was an Adventist.

3. To save some cash, and produce some awesomely clean clothes, I make my own laundry detergent. I know what your thinking, "GIVE ME THE RECIPE", it's right here. It is amazing stuff. I also make my own deodorant (Alcohol + Spray Bottle =  Deodorant, interesting huh? And it works!). Most people would call me cheap, but I prefer the term "money conscientious".

4. Speaking on my frugality, I don't ever shop for myself. Of course I buy the necessities but clothes, shoes, accessories etc. not so much. I don't like spending money on myself and if I do, it is for a vacation or some fun adventure.

5.  I still sleep with the same stuffed animal that I have had since birth. He is a bear named Puffy/Puff-a-Luff. He is a bear that is all deflated, drawn on and still has and rattle in him but I can NEVER let him go (I am so attached, I don't think I'll even give him to my first born.).

6. As much as I threaten to leave California and move elsewhere where the cost of living is cheaper and the people are "real", I secretly never want to (Oops, secret's out). Orange County is all I know, and, well, I love it here. Occasionally you find the rude, fake, money driven individuals, but there are also amazing, smart and caring people around these parts. Not to mention it is a great place to raise a family. But I guess it's not up to me, it's up to the Navy where we plant our roots.

7.  I LIVE for Black Friday. It is my favorite time of year, hands down! I am that person who looks up all the sales and maps out my plan of attack 2 weeks before this wonderful day. I wake up at 3am, wait in lines and  nonchalantly knock over a children who stand in my way. Just kidding, I have yet to be that person you read about in the paper that is getting in a fight over an item  (Although, that may happen this year because I will be buying a TV, so I have to be prepared to beat someone down [if need be])
