Is That a Joke??
Today in Astronomy (the class T and I take together) we had to work in groups. So we worked with this guy next to us (he was awesome, very nice and one of those who HELP in a group, not just sit around) and by the end of class we got to talking. We started to talk about how we are moving to Oceanside tomorrow (YES THAT'S RIGHT!!! BAH came through!). When we said we are moving in together he was like:
I guess getting married young is an anomaly around here.
It definitely gave me and T a good laugh though!
Guy in class: "Wait, you two are together?"
Me: "Yeah, were engaged"
Guy: "Is that a joke?"
Me: "No, we're really getting married"
Guy: "Seriously, are you joking?"
T: "Haha, no man" (points to my ring)
Me: (show him my ring)
Guy: "Oh, well that's cool I guess"

Is It Still Cool to Fly Like a G6?
Well, I'm not literally flying a G6 airplane but time is sure flying (and its flying in style, yes, my time flies in a G6). I had a wonderful 3 day weekend and now I am quite sad to depart from it.
This week is going to be quite hectic but really exciting! More about that a little later.
Another SUPERRRR exciting fact. My Dad is officially an ordained minister and he will be marrying T & I in June! I am so excited. When it came down finding an officiant I kept thinking, how can I just hire some random guy to preform my marriage? Seeing that we are not actively apart of our respected religions, I wasn't going to pick some name out of a hat and call it a day. That's when I though it would be awesome if my Dad could marry us. I asked, and he was so delighted how could he say no?!
I am so excited for our special day and that my Dad will have a special part in it!
For now I'll leave you a lovely photo from our weekend.

My Daddy!! And my nephew (he is much bigger now!)
For now I'll leave you a lovely photo from our weekend.
Creascent Bay, Laguna Beach (where T proposed).
We had a blasty blast looking at all the tidepools.

Power of Positive Thinking
Alrighty, there are two major possibilities going on with two major things right now.
1. BAH
2. Deployment
Okay, your probably sick of me talking about BAH and our apartment but now things are looking a little grim. Although the current barracks are at about 120% (seriously, I saw the papers with my own eyes, they are all MAXED OUT) but they are building tons of new ones. So many to the point where they are trying to pull all "single" E4 & E5's who have BAH back into the barracks. But there is still a chance that T will get BAH so the power of positive thinking shall commence.
Now for some good news about deployment. T has the opportunity to move to a different regiment. If this happens he WILL NOT deploy with his current battalion. Hopefully this is the case because I don't know if I could handle him being gone again. Especially so soon after our wedding. I would die inside. We will be thinking positive about this as well.
If these two things could go our way, life will be good!

What Don't You Know About Me Already?
Justin tells me that I inspired him to become an ultra blogger BUT he was disappointed in me because I virtually stopped blogging. According to him I am about 284 blogs behind. So here I am blogging again to appease him!
Well the lovely Jeanna at The Longer the Wait, the Sweeter the Kiss (a fellow 20 year old, planning her wedding) was kind enough to give me an award! I was given this award in the past but would be fun to write 7 MORE things about myself (as if I don't talk about myself enough!)
1. T starts his first official college course tomorrow, and were taking it together! Astronomy. The fact that he is thinking about life after the Military and that he is getting a jump start on his schooling makes me VERY excited. Plus, it will be nice to have a live-in study buddy!
2. Call me selfish but I (and T) don't want children for a while (3-4 years or so?). Although I love children and would love to have TONS of them (5 or 6) I want to enjoy my young years, and enjoy life with my husband (wow, first time typing that... surreal) before bringing kids into the picture. Our children will be around for the rest of our lives, so why rush it right?
3. When I was younger I ALWAYS wanted a pet (like a puppy or something) but all I got was a hamster. Now what I am older, I really don't like the thought of having a pet. And I secretly wish (oops, now the secretes out) that all the energy that is spent on animal rights is redirected towards human rights. Then the World will be on a path to find an end to all the suffering.
4. I am nervous to leave my hometown and move to Oceanside (although I am SUPERRR excited to move in with T). Granted, it's only 45 minutes away from my hometown, it is still a different city and county. I think what I will miss the most though is living 5 minutes away from my job.
5. I tell myself I will go to bed early every night but I NEVER do! I go to sleep right around 12am and wake up at 6:30am all tired and grumpy. Maybe I should get off blogspot and get my butt to bed... hmmmm
6. I am getting married in 163 days!
7. I really want to learn a skill with my hands. So I want to learn how to sew. I was enrolled in a sewing class for this semester but I ended up dropping it to free up some time in my busy schedule. I may take it next fall OR I may just teach myself!

Christmas Vacation pt, 3 It's Already Over
Well, I am sitting in bed dreading going back to work and starting another semester tomorrow. I am also sitting here thinking, is my 3 week vacation REALLY over?! It is amazing how time flies by. It honestly scares the crap out of me though. Before I know it T and I will be getting older and and spending most of our time chasing our kids around (not that there is anything wrong with that, but I [and T] want to be able to enjoy being young [one of the many reasons we don't want to have kids right away] and I fear all my young years will go by in a blink).
Anyway, I am excited to close 2010 and enter 2011 (I know, I know. I am a few days late haha). There are many new exciting adventures I and T and I will embark on. Now that I am back home and the "fairytale is over" as T would say, and I sadly have to get back to reality. BUT not all of it is too bad. I will be packing up my room in my parents house VERYY soon and moving to Oceanside with T. AHHHH!
I am excited our lives are moving forward. I already know a few things the New Year has in store for us (Apartment, Wedding, Deployment [boo]) but let's see what else it throws our way!

Christmas Vacations Pt. 2 The Flight From Hell
I REALLY hate driving long distances. Being in a car for over an hour really tests my patience. So I was incredibly excited when T agreed to fly and T's parents were nice enough to purchase our airline tickets. 11 hour drive or a 2 hour flight, we will take the 2 hour flight pleaseee.
On the 28th after T was released for leave, we went off to the airport. Our flight was supposed to leave at 7:30p out of Long Beach Airport. (the tiniest airport you've ever seen. The first time I pulled up it made me laugh hysterically. It is literally 1 building and 5 portables for terminals. Although it's size is quite laughable it is a pretty good airport, never busy [except this time] and very easy to fly out of.)
We arrived to the airport pretty late and it was SUPER busy inside so we decided to curbside our bags and get to our terminal so we don't miss our flight. Luckily (or so I thought) our flight got pushed back until 8pm giving us enough time to grab a snack and hang out by the gate. WELLLLL, 7:40 rolls around (our printed boarding time) and there are no signs of us boarding. 7:50 nothing, 8:00 nothing, 8:10 nothing. I go to check the flight itinerary to see if our flight was delayed again, and guess what I see in big yellow letters by our flight number. CANCELED!
What the FREAKING HECK!? So I go and stand in line by the counter to see whats going on. I stood in line for 10 minutes (the lady was not helping anyone!) and finally they announce over the intercom that our flight to Salt Lake has been canceled. (Well, thanks freaking Jet Blue for telling us 20 MINUTES AFTER WE WERE SUPPOSED TO LEAVE!)
Luckily (well sort of) I started standing in the line before everyone else did. After10 minutes we reach the only person rerouting our flights. She couldn't get us on a flight until 2 days later! So we asked her to put us on another airline, of course she couldn't do that. Then we asked for our money back. Jerk Face Jet Blue Lady told us that she could only give us a credit because we bought non-refundable tickets. I wanted to freaking choke her. ARE YOU SERIOUS??? It was not our fault that the flight was canceled. Then we pulled the military card (we normally don't do this but seriously, nothing else was working) and of course that didn't work either. She was a serious beeotch, but I also don't blame her. I would HATE to work in an airport. Her and all her witchiness told us we could talk to a manager at the front desk, so to the front desk we went.
While walking to the front desk I call Jet Blue and guess what automated message I get:
And they hung up on me!
When we make it up to the front desk the line was snaked around the whole building. I guess that is what happens when 5 other flights were canceled too.
We stood around, calling our parents and Jet Blue with absolutely no luck with Jet Blue, they were still hanging up.
At this point both of us are very upset and say screw it. We found our bags, stood at the curb and called my dad to pick us up at the airport (by this time it is already 9:30p) and take us back home. When we got back, we looked for more flights we could take but they all cost a good $800 dollars for the two of us (twice what T's parents paid originally). My mom offered to help pay for our tickets but we didn't want to risk having the same hellish airport adventure the next morning. Plus, there was a storm due to come into Salt Lake the next day, when there is ice on the tarmac at SLC, they don't let any planes land. We really didn't feel like risking that either.
So guess what we did (one of the things I hate the MOST). We packed up the truck, raided my parents pantry and began our 11 hour journy to Salt Lake. We left at 11pm Pacific time and after 4 hours of me driving and 7 hours of T driving through the night/morning we finally arrived a little after 9am mountian time.
That whole experience made me never want to travel again! But I am quite thankful we made it there safely, especially when we started hitting some nasty snowy weather in southern Utah and all the way up (where T didn't even think of turning on the 4 wheel drive)
Now that our time in Utah will come to a close this Sunday, I am DREADING the drive back.
Wish us luck! And pray I don't go insane!

I am pretty sure this airport looks exactly as it did in 1923 [when it was built believe it or not],
the bathrooms sure look like something out of the 20's

Christmas Vacation pt. 1... Christmas Fun/ Wedding Gown Bliss!
Oh my. It has been forever and a day since I last blogged. To be honest, I really do not like this time of year because everyone gets caught up in the holidays and looses sight of everything else. And that is exactly what happened to me (I even forgot to pay our wedding photographer, luckily he's a cool guy. We are also pretty sure that we are distant cousins, more on that later).
Now I am in Herriman, Utah, (with T's family) finally getting around to blogging (because almost everything is closed on Sundays, so there really isn't much more to do).
A lot has happened it the past (two?) weeks. And since this post can go on forever I think I will do it in several different posts.
The week of Christmas was tons of fun. T's leave didn't begin until the 28th so for Christmas weekend they had a 96, BUTTTT because of all the crazy rain we've been having there were mudslides all over Camp Pendleton. To the point where 2 entrance gates were shut down and nobody could get through. So the Commanding Officer of Camp Pendleton told pretty much everyone to go home. The 96 turned into 120. Awesome right?
Since T and I were both off we enjoyed spending time together and with my family. For Christmas Eve and Christmas day we stayed at my parents house and played games all night long. The one (of many) reasons I like our Christmas' is because everything is so laid back. We stay in our PJ's all day and just hang out. This year I took the Wii home from my office and we played that almost 24/7.
We also took some family photos

Kaleb was only happy in T's arms.. in all the other
photos he was crying
This one is my favorite
On the 27th my mom, sister (my maid of honor) and I took a train up to Fashion District in LA and bought my wedding dress!! It is so BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I am on the fence about putting a picture up.. I may because I love it so much!
My sister found it and she said "what about this one?" and I put it on. It was the only dress I didn't want to take off. Seriously, I would wear it grocery shopping if I could. Now I just have to loose a few pounds so I can look EVEN MORE AMAZING in it.
More wedding planning is to commence while we're up here. I'm super excited everything is coming together but I know we still have a lot more to go.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years!
Pt. 2 on the flight from HELLL and New Years shenanigans will come soon.
XOXOXOX
